October is one of my favorite times of year! I love all things cute-spooky and Halloween. My students love all the creepy stories we get to read and the playful Halloween songs we listen to. One of our favorite Halloween stories is the fictional story Creepy Carrots! by Aaron Reynolds and Peter Brown. It is a 2013 Caldecott Honor book. This book features a main character, Jasper Rabbit, who LOVES eating carrots. Until one day when the carrots start following him! It is delightfully spooky and such an engaging and fun read for kids. This story does not specifically revolve around Halloween or October, so it could be read at any point in the year. I love this book and I hope you have the opportunity to read it in your classroom!
Happy Reading,
Miss Oliver 😊
